The Engineering Manager will drive innovation for a new start-up company. They will lead research efforts and product development, establish manufacturing processes, and recommend product solutions for current and new products. Focus on improving process applications and technical solutions. You will lead of a high performing team of up to six engineers, which will range from the creation of new and innovative products for discovery programs to developing new/improved products through the commercialization process for both growth and cost savings initiatives.
ENGINEERING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual requires a strong knowledge of mechanical and chemical processes, plant operations, and manufacturing. The disciplines and duties include but are not limited to planning, project management, maintenance, scheduling, processing, and procurement. The Engineering Manager will need to be able to work with preventive maintenance and replacement strategy, including a capital expenditure program for general product and technology development.
This role manages up to six engineers. A strong leadership and communication skill set is critical for this role. The Engineering Manager is capable of prioritizing and balancing focus on multiple projects, tasks, and organizational needs in an evolving environment. The incumbent maintains the needs of the business at the most economic cost and highest quality.
