This individual will drive innovation for a new start-up company PHM Safe. Conduct research and develop to recommend product solutions for current and new product formulas. You will be part of a high performing team, driving your projects, which will range from the creation of new and innovative products for discovery programs to developing new/improved products through the commercialization process for both growth and cost savings initiatives.

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Process Engineer for our PHM Safe, Broomfield, CO office. The ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter that demonstrates strong leadership and comprehension skills, using sound engineering practices.
  • Perform engineering studies, write reports, perform chemical process simulations, and develop and complete engineering calculations.
  • Perform or assist with the development of PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.
  • Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.



  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of working experience is required in an industrial setting.
  • Exposure to chemical plants and products such as disinfectants are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with a chemical simulation program, such as ChemCAD or Aspen. Experience using Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom a plus.
  • Ability to work with clients, partner with contractors and vendors.
  • Professional Engineering license or registration preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment, both internal and external to PHM Brands.
  • Strong technical skills in researching and development of new product applications and improving current process applications.
  • Ability to identify, champion and adapt new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Create prototypes to bring product solutions to life and test with consumer.
  • Strong technical curiosity and creative problem-solving skills with a record of innovative technical solutions implemented.
  • Hands-on focus, sound technical judgement to influence team and business direction.
  • Travel requirement up to 40%
  • Must be comfortable with hands on work in the plant environment.



  • Standing and walking on concrete floors
  • Exposure to hot work hazards
  • Usage of various machine shop tools and handheld power tools
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sometimes work in hazardous conditions, such as around chemicals and machinery.
  • PPE may require you to wear full face or half face respirator.
