Sr. R&D Engineer

This individual will drive innovation for a new start-up company. Conduct research and develop to recommend product solutions for current and new product formulas. You will be part of a high performing team, driving your projects, which will range from the creation of new and innovative products for discovery programs to developing new/improved products through the commercialization process for both growth and cost savings initiatives.

  • As a Senior Engineer in Research and Development you will be a part of a team responsible for technical discovery and developmental work for cleaning and disinfecting products.
  • You will help develop new process applications along with products from concept to development, using technical leadership to translate end-user insights for solutions.
  • You will work on teams to develop products in close partnership with Product and Process peers, as well as marketing, sales, product supply and regulatory.
  • Responsible for coaching and transferring knowledge to the field engineers.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent degree.
  • 10+ years of development experience in the chemical industry, primarily disinfectants.
  • Ability to work independently and implement multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment, both internal and external to PHM Brands.
  • Strong technical skills in researching and development of new product applications and improving current process applications.
  • Ability to identify, champion and adapt new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Create prototypes to bring product solutions to life and test with consumer.
  • Strong technical curiosity and creative problem-solving skills with a record of innovative technical solutions implemented.
  • Hands-on focus, sound technical judgement to influence team and business direction.
  • Travel requirement up to 40%
  • Must be comfortable with hands on work in the plant environment.



  • Standing and walking on concrete floors
  • Exposure to hot work hazards
  • Usage of various machine shop tools and handheld power tools
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sometimes work in hazardous conditions, such as around chemicals and machinery
  • PPE may require you to wear full face or half face respirator
